WARRANTY AND SALES POLICY

WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Shipping costs and labor charges are not covered under warranty. No exceptions apply.

WARRANTY COVERAGE PERIODS

  • Standard Replacement Engines: 6 months from delivery date (unless otherwise specified on sales receipt)

  • Performance Engines (including turbo, VTEC, i-VTEC, VVT, VVTi, GTE): 30 days from delivery date (unless otherwise specified on sales receipt)

  • Rotary Engines (Mazda RX-7, RX-8, 13B, 13BT/13BTT/20B): No warranty coverage (unless otherwise specified on product listing)

  • Performance Transmissions: 30 days from delivery date

  • Standard Replacement Transmissions: 90 days from delivery date (unless otherwise specified on product listing)

Warranty Start Date: All warranty periods begin when the customer takes possession of the item, either by signing proof of delivery for shipped items or at the time of in-store pickup.

Parts: Sold as-is with no warranty coverage


DEPOSIT TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Deposits hold items for 30 days maximum

  • Full balance must be paid within 30 days of deposit date

  • After 30 days without payment, KDM Motors Import may release items from hold

  • No refunds issued after the 30-day period

  • Items must be picked up or shipped within 25 days of full payment


WARRANTY COVERAGE

What Is Covered
The following internal engine components are covered under our limited warranty:

  • Pistons, piston rings, and piston pins

  • Crankshaft and main bearings

  • Connecting rods and rod bearings

  • Camshaft and camshaft bearings

  • Timing chain and timing gears

  • Intake and exhaust valves

  • Valve springs, seals, and guides

  • Oil pump, push rods, rocker arms, and shafts

  • Engine block and cylinder walls (free from cracks or distortions that prevent normal operation)

  • Cylinder head (free from cracks or distortions that prevent normal operation)

What Is NOT Covered
The following external components and circumstances are excluded from warranty coverage:

External Components:

  • Intake and exhaust manifolds

  • Carburetors and distributors

  • Starters and emission control devices

  • Flywheels, clutches, and pressure plates

  • Water pumps, thermostats, belts, and hoses

  • Oil pans and valve covers

  • Sensors and electronic components (distributors, wires, computers, injectors, etc.)

  • Drive shafts, engine mounts, and half shafts

  • Turbochargers

Exclusions:

  • Damage due to customer or mechanic negligence

  • Engines that seize, lose compression, or suffer catastrophic failure due to improper installation or maintenance

  • Installations not performed by certified mechanics (warranty may be voided at KDM Motors' discretion)


WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE

Requirements for All Claims

  • Professional Installation Required: We strongly recommend professional installation by a certified mechanic

  • Monitoring Period: Engines should be closely monitored during the first 50-100 miles after installation

  • Mechanic's Report: Valid mechanic's report required for all warranty claims

  • Certified Mechanic Only: Claims must include documentation from a certified mechanic

Defective Product Claims
To file a warranty claim, email the following to sales@kdmmotorsimport.com :

  • Detailed written description of the defect with supporting photos and videos

  • Certification documentation from the inspecting mechanic

  • Mechanic's contact information for verification purposes

Note: The certifying mechanic may be different from the original purchaser.

Claim Resolution
Upon receiving complete documentation, KDM Motors Import will:

  • Review all submitted materials

  • Contact the certifying mechanic for verification

  • Determine whether to provide a refund for defective parts or request return for replacement

  • Require complete return of defective engines/transmissions (no missing parts)

  • Deduct any missing parts from replacement units


COMPANY RIGHTS & MODIFICATIONS

KDM Motors Import reserves the right to:

  • Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on products before sale

  • Use rebuilt or serviceable used parts in products

  • Exchange engines at company discretion when deemed necessary

  • Refuse warranty claims due to customer or mechanic negligence

  • Modify these warranty terms at any time without prior notice
